30496QLD Course In Operating Load-Shifting Equipment - Fork Lift


Sun Coast Training and Accreditation was one of the first Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in Queensland to gain accreditation to deliver 30496QLD Course in operating Load-Shifting Equipment.  Only Forklift OHSCER207A LF Forklift Truck is still covered under this competency since the legislative changes made on the 01/01/2012 

Full training, testing and WHSQ accreditation available by appointment.

Course Duration

The course consists of 1 unit of competency which is trained in 1 day.  Assessments are carried out on an additional day after the log book hours are collected. The nominal duration for the unit of competency is 40 nominal hours (supervised training and assessment).  In addition the applicant is required to undertake supervised 'Log Book' on-the-job training of minimum 40 hours.  The supervised "Log Book" hours must be completed before sitting the practical assessment. 

Courses are held weekdays and one weekend per month, commencing at 7:30am and finishing at approximately 3:30pm

 

Course Fees

 

Forklift course fee: 

 $400 per person 

 

 

 

High risk licences can only be lodged in person and is an additional fee of $72 is payable upon lodgement of your licence application.  Licence applications can be lodged at any participating Australia Post outlet.

 

Licensing Regulation

Students will be issued with a Statement of Attendance upon successful completion of the theoretical course and written assessment.  A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon completion of the Log Book requirement and practical assessment.

 

Load-Shifting

All other loadshifting equipment no longer are required to have a licence however an operator must still be deemed competent. Sun Coast Training and Accreditation now offeres Nationally Recognised Competencies in Civil Load-Shifting Equipment.


Course Description

Load-shifting Courses are held weekly at our training centre at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough, off Steve Irwin Way opposite the Landsborough exit.  All training and assessment is conducted at this facility, however, courses can be conducted at the client's premises provided the training facilities and the available machines are suitable.  A lof book will not be required for operators with experience that they can provide evidence for. New operators will be required to either go onto a logbook or undertake hours on the machine at our site. Booking of hours on Sun Coast Training & Accreditations machines will encure an additional charge to the course.

Course Duration

The courses consist of 1 unit of competency each.  Each course will be trained and assessed of 2 full days. Courses are held weekdays and one weekend per month, commencing at 7:30am. Participants that have operated the type of machinery that they are participating in will need to provide evidence of previous workplace experience. New operators will be required to go on a logbook to gain on the job experience. 

RPL (Recognised Prior Learning)

The training hours may be significantly reduced depending on the participant's qualifications (type and number of tickets/licenses held).

Course Fees

Course fees are payable on commencement of each course.  The fee includes:

- theoretical course

- written assessment

- issuance of training log book

- practical assessment- Statement of attainment 

 

 Excavator course fee:

 Skid Steer (bobcat) course fee: 

 $650 per person 

 

 Backhoe course fee:

 $750 per person   

 

 Grader course fee:

 $650 per person

 $650 per person 

 

 Scraper course fee: 

 $650 per person 

 

 

Course fees do not include use of loadshifting machine to obtain log book hours.
