30496QLD Course In Operating Load-Shifting Equipment
Sun Coast Training and Accreditation was one of the first Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in Queensland to gain accreditation to deliver the above course.
On 1 July 2007 the new VET system of Training and Assessment was introduced where licensing of load-shifting operators can only be provided by Registered Training Organisations who are licensed with the scope
Course Description
Load-shifting Courses are held at our training centre at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough, off Steve Irwin Way opposite the Landsborough exit. All training and assessment is conducted at this facility, however, courses can be conducted at the client's premises provided the training facilities and the available machines are suitable.
SCTA has courses available for load-shifting equipment detailed below:
- Backhoe;
- Excavator;
- Fork lift truck;
- Grader
- Front End Loader;
- Scraper;
- Road Roller;
- Dozer;
- Skid Steer Loader (Bobcat).
Full training, testing and WHSQ accreditation available by appointment.
Course Duration
The courses consist of 1 unit of competency each. The nominal duration for the unit of competency is 40 nominal hours (supervised training and assessment). In addition the applicant is required to undertake supervised 'Log Book' on-the-job training of minimum 40 hours.
Courses are held weekdays and one weekend per month, commencing at 7:30am and finishing at approximately 3:30pm.
RPL (Recognised Prior Learning)
The training hours may be significantly reduced depending on the participant's qualifications (type and number of tickets/licenses held).
Course Requirements
Participants must be 18 years of age and abide by all Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
