30496QLD Course In Operating Load-Shifting Equipment
Sun Coast Training and Accreditation was one of the first Registered Training Organisations (RTO) in Queensland to gain accreditation to deliver the above course.
On 1 July 2007 the new VET system of Training and Assessment was introduced where licensing of load-shifting operators can only be provided by Registered Training Organisations who are licensed with the above scope.
Course Description
Load-shifting Courses are held weekly at our training centre at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough, off Steve Irwin Way opposite the Landsborough exit. All training and assessment is conducted at this facility, however, courses can be conducted at the client's premises provided the training facilities and the available machines are suitable.

In addition the applicant is required to undertake supervised 'Log Book' on-the-job training of minimum 40 hours. The supervised "Log Book" hours must be completed before sitting the practical assessment.
Courses are held weekdays and one weekend per month, commencing at 7:30am and finishing at approximately 3:30pm.

How can I operate a machine if I am under 18 years?
Though the current age limit to become a licenced machine operator is 18 years, students can complete the unit of competency and we can supply them with a log book and training plan. When the student turns 18 years, they can return at NO extra charge to complete the final assessments.
