The Director of Sun Coast Training and Accreditation (SCTA) has been involved with training and assessing Plant Operators for over 15 years. In March 2006 SCTA became a Registered Training Organisation with Scope in CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card). SCTA was one of the first RTO's in Queensland to be granted accreditation for the new 30494QLD Course in Operating Self-Erecting Tower Crane and 30496QLD Course in Operating Loadshifting Equipment as part of the new VET - NOSHA training and accreditation system. Sun Coast Training and Accreditation's training room facilities are based at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough and has a Potain 14C Self-Erecting Tower Crane used solely for training purposes.
Company Location
On 1st February Sun Coast Training and Accreditation moved to their new premises at 219 Forestry Road, Landsborough.
The training rooms, Potain 14C Self-erecting Tower Crane and loadshifting machines are all located on site.
All practical sessions in the scaffolding courses are now held under cover utilising scaffolding purchased from Unispan.

Director's Comments
I have worked in local government for over 16 years as a Supervisor, Overseer and Works Manager at various Shire Councils in Queensland. My experience also includes several years as a Supervisor during the construction of the Tarong Power Station at Kingaroy. My industry experience extends to numerous civil projects, including roadworks, dams, etc. My connection with heavy industry and remote shires over the years places me in a position of understanding what impact the impending changes will have.
